Non-conducting coverings for heat and sound.- The insulating jackets of pipes, chambers, or vessels are made of a number of separate vacuum cells of any desired shape. Fig. 1 shows a number of vacuum units a surrounding a pipe and fitting together at the ends. The vacuum cells may be shaped as shown in Figs. 3, 8, and 10 or they may be of spherical, cylindrical, spiral, cubical, or other shape. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 20507/02, [Class 29, Cooling &c.], 21371/03, 29994/12 and 20193/14.
