When two edges only are formed on the plate, they may be corrugated, as shown in Fig. 5, or bent, as shown in Fig. 6, to prevent lateral motion. The plates may be formed from hollow blown &c. bodies of the sectional form shown in Figs. 2 and 9 or of other shape, these bodies being divided into two or more plates by cutting them along the re-entrant angles.
