Corsets.-A truss or the like 33 is supported beneath a corset, so that in wear it is invisible, by steel bands 21, adjustably connected to the truss by straps 35, studs 37, and thumb-screws 38 passing through holes 39. The bands are arched so as to pass over the hip bone, where they pass through slits 29 in the corset to the outer side thereof, .and then downwards to be adjustably attached by binding-screws &c. 25 to the lower ends of the back steels of the corset. The corset preferably has at the lower front an elastic or semi-elastic inset 41, strengthened by upper and lower stiffeners 43, 44.
