Concretes; cements, Portland, treating after manufacture.-Hydrated Portland cement, preferably 100-300 parts, is mixed with 5-30 parts of water glass and 5-10 parts of an adhesive liquid insoluble in water, and which is not readily saponified such as oxidized or polymerized oil with or without a filler. The resulting cement may be moulded or may be used like asphalt over large areas by rolling and smoothing by means of sliding irons and may be reinforced with steel bars, wires &c. Heat accelerates setting.
