Abstract

1,078,799. Incandescent electric lamps. PATENT - TREUHAND - GESELLSCHAFT FUR ELEKTRISCHE GLUHLAMPEN m.b.H. April 20, 1966 [April 29, 1965], No. 17301/66. Addition to 1,026,445. Heading H1F. The lamp of the parent Specification is modified by the replacement of iodine in the gasfilling by bromine, chlorine or fluorine or compounds of these halogens which release these halogens by thermal decomposition in the lamp. Suitable compounds are hydrogen bromide, hydrogen chloride or tungsten hexafluoride. Coatings or sleeves of quartz glass may be applied to the ends of the coil and the current supply wires. Where fluorine is used, the sleeves may be of copper, nickel, aluminium or magnesium.
