Abstract

1,078,490. Digging machines. GEORG HARDER MASCHINENFABRIK A.G. Sept. 30, 1965 [Oct. 1, 1964], No. 41550/65. Heading E1F. A cutter drum unit for the cutting and loading of silage, manure and the like into the shovel of a shovel loader. The unit is mountable on the vertically swingable, shovelcarrying arms of the loader and comprises a structure for attachment to the arms and a cutter drum-carrying frame articulated to the structure in such a manner that it can be fixed in various positions to the support. Preferably the frame has a pair of slotted arms for receiving pivot pins and locking pins on the structure. The hydraulic motor for rotating the drum is positioned within the drum and a deflector plate is mounted on the arms above and to the rear of the drum to deflect cut material ejected from the drum into the shovel which in use of the unit is located to the rear of the drum.
