Abstract

1,078,291. Printed circuits. MARCONI CO. Ltd. Sept. 30, 1964 [Jan. 15, 1964], No. 1787/64. Heading H1R. [Also in Division H2] A printed circuit board 4 has a multi-sided star-shaped hole punched in it to receive and position the pins of a connection pin header at the star points 31. Alternate star points may be plated to provide the contacts to co-operate with the pins, or all the star points may be plated and the required interruptions between contacts obtained by removing the inwardly projecting corners between adjacent star points using either the same star-shaped punch to produce the intermediate points 32 or a circular punch may be used, Fig. 5 (not shown).
