Abstract
The invention comprises imines of formula R-N=CH-R1, where R is o-tert.-alkyl-o1-substituted aryl and R1 is H or hydrocarbyl, optionally halogen- or hydroxyl-substituted. These compounds are prepared by reacting R-NH2 with R1-CHO. Examples describe the preparation of compounds where R1=H and R=2,6 - (Me3C)MeC6H3-; 2,4,6 - (Me3C)Me2C6H2-; or 2,6-(Me3C)MeOC6H3-.
