Abstract

1,077,588. Knitting - machines. FRANZ MORAT G.m.b.H. Sept. 2, 1964 [Sept. 12, 1963], No. 36001/64. Heading D1C. A circular rib knitting comprises a compartment accommodating the needle cylinder and dial and is bounded below by a cylinder cam ring 7 and above by a dial bearing housing 11 and is bounded and enclosed at its sides by a casing of transparent material 42 extending between the peripheries of the cylinder cam ring and the dial bearing housing. The transparent material comprises a series of overlapping panels which may be opened at any point to give access to the compartment. Air is drawn in by a filter pump 28 and passes through conduits 37a, 37c, 37d to the compartment II and is extracted through a conduit 46. A series of electric lamps 56 are provided to illuminate the knitting instruments.
