[Also in Division F2] A switch control mechanism comprises a control lever 9 fast with a shaft 2 having a toothed segment 4a and a diametrically opposed flat 5 on which the upper edge 20 of a slide 19 rests when the lever 9 is vertical. On rotation of the lever 9 the teeth 4a mesh with one of the racks 21a, 21b on the slide to raise the latter. On release of the lever 9 a spring 18 returns the slide 19 to a position in which it rests on the flat 5 and depresses a plunger 24 of the switch 23. Rotation of the shaft 2 is limited by a projection 7 thereon engaging abutments 14. A flexible diaphragm 25 is provided between the slide 19 and plunger 24.
