Abstract

1,073,494. Pressure gauges. GYRODYNE COMPANY OF AMERICA Inc. April 13, 1966, No. 16138/66. Heading G1L. A static air pressure pick-up device has a rigid vertical tube 12, 14 attached to a support, such as aircraft or helicopter rotor shaft 10, and connected to a static pressure tube 32 by an element 30 having a flexibility and resilience such that the static pressure tube element 32 is held in a horizontal position when the aircraft is at rest and the rigid tube extends vertically. Fins, such as 40, which may or may not be enclosed by a cylindrical shroud are provided on the static pressure tube element 32.
