Abstract

107,276. Jannink, J. F. July 18, 1916, Addition to 100,222. Rollers and roller heads.-In a roller head of the type described in the parent Specification a non- rotating pressure-member movable towards and away from its fellow roller and affording a line contact therewith is substituted for one of the rollers of the pair immediately behind the drawing-rollers. The upper roller 2a may have an axle 2b which can slide in vertical guides without turning. Various shaped members making line contact with the lower roller may be used in place of the cylindrical roller 2<a>. The non-rotating pressure-member may take the place of the lower roller, the pressure being produced by weights or springs. Two non-rotating pressure-members may be employed.
