1,071,642. Arrangement and disposition of brakes on vehicles. BERGISCHE ACHSENFABRIK FR. KOTZ & SÍHNE. June 26, 1964 [July 11, 1963], No. 26556/64. Heading B7H. A vehicle has an attachment for mounting a brake cylinder externally of the brake drum of a road wheel of the vehicle, the attachment comprising a base-plate having a vertical web 10 and a horizontally extending cylinder supporting web 11, the web 10 being provided with numerous holes 9, for facilitating mounting cylinders of different designs and sizes on the vehicle, and being adjustably secured to one, or two parallel, brackets 2 welded to an axle 1. As shown the bracket or brackets is/are provided with a strengthening rib or ribs 4 and also pairs of holes 5, 5<SP>1</SP>; 6, 61; 7, 7<SP>1</SP>; to receive bolts 8, 8<SP>1</SP> passing through the plate web 10. There may be two parallel webs 10 secured to the web 11.
