Abstract

1,071,290. Feeding egg boxes. SKANDINAVISK EMBALLAGE A/S. Oct. 19, 1965 [Oct. 28, 1964], No. 44194/65. Heading B8S. The stack of egg boxes 10 is discharged from the bottom, one by one, by the operation of two pairs of fingers 29, and 30, and support rod 11. The rod and fingers are articulated as shown; the rods 15 and 23 reciprocating horizontally through supports 26, and rod 22 having a movement relative to rod 23 which is limited by spring 28. The linkage turns about point 31 and is operated by fluid cylinder 33. Operation.-Fingers 29 and 30 insert themselves between the lowermost box 10 and the rest of the stack, whilst rod 11 is withdrawn to the right. Fingers 29 and 30 then separate themselves in a vertical plane to permit fingers 29 to discharge the lowermost box downwards. The rod 11 and fingers 29 and 30 then complete their cycle to return to the position shown.
