Heading B8C The hot air used in the parent Specification can be diverted by a valve (31), (34) when the carton-sealing machine is stopped. In addition, the current to the heater (17) for the air may be automatically cut-off, when flow of air ceases, by a pressure-sensitive or temperaturesensitive switch (40). The valve (31), (34) may be operated by a pneumatic cylinder (35).
