Abstract
The invention comprises aqueous solutions containing a compound of the general formula <FORM:1070183/C2/1> wherein R1 and R2 are such that the group <FORM:1070183/C2/2> represents a bivalent pentose or hexose radical. The solutions are prepared by reacting, in aqueous solution, a silver salt with a compound of the formula <FORM:1070183/C2/3> wherein R1 and R2 are as defined above.
