Abstract

[Also in Division H3] A transfluxor is interrogated by applying an alternating current signal to an interrogation winding of the transfluxor and detecting a harmonic of this signal induced in a second winding of the transfluxor. A sinusoidal signal is applied to interrogation winding 6 threading the minor aperture 3 of the transfluxor to induce in output winding 7 a periodic non- sinusoidal voltage. The third harmonic of this voltage is amplified by tuned amplifier 13 and fed through diode, 14 and filter circuit 15, 16 to output terminal 17. The circuit arrangement may be used for storing analogue or digital information.
