Abstract

1,069,750. Foot-operated flushing devices for cisterns. PRESSARTS Ltd. Oct. 18, 1965 [Sept. 25, 1964], No. 39092/64. Heading E1C. A water-closet installation comprises syphonic flushing means 19 with a foot-operated mechanism acting at 15, and a washbasin (not shown)` into which water is dispensed during the flushing operation. A reservoir 2 for wash water is in the flushing cistern 1, receiving water therefrom at 24 to feed it by gravity to the wash-basin, and has an outlet valve 6 to do so when the flushing action is initiated on raising the rod 27 when the float arm 11 drops, the control rod rises and valve 6 is opened, to be closed with rising of the arm 11 on refilling the cistern 1. Liquid soap is in a container 4 and is dispensed to the washbasin during water supply through an outlet valve 7 when the rod 9 drops, supply ceasing when it has fully risen. The rods 8, 9 are attached to the float-arm extension 10 and operate so that the valve 7 is closed before the valve 6 whereby water alone enters the washbasing finally.
