Liquid level, maintaining.-In an internal-combustion engine having integral cylinder heads, as described in Specification 106,682, [Class 7 (ii), Internal-combustion engines, Arrangement &c. of], oil is supplied by a pipe 22 to a number of troughs 8 into which the valveoperating cams dip. The oil overflows into a sloping channel 7 formed in the head 4 and passes to the crank-chamber through a conduit 24 formed in the castings.of the heads, cylinders and crank-chamber. The conduit 24 communicates with a horizontal passage 25 from which a num ber of nozzles 26 supply troughs 27, into which the connecting-rod ends dip.
