Abstract
1,068,906. Reinforcement spacers. RAPID METAL DEVELOPMENTS Ltd. May 4, 1964 [May 13, 1963], No. 18804/63. Heading E1W. Plastics reinforcement spacers are formed with three parallel elongate feet. In the embodiment of Fig. 1, the spacer has a waisted central leg 12, and straight outer legs 13, there being a peripheral rib 17 to resist the passage of water up the spacer. In the two-part spacer of Fig. 3, the upper, flexible part 21 has an annular base portion with an inwardly projecting peripheral rib 26 which cooperates with a peripheral groove 25 around the top of the lower, more rigid part 20. The upper part has four flexible arms 27 the surfaces of which lie on a common surface of revolution about the central vertical axis through the spacer. The upper part 35 of the two-part spacer of Fig. 6 has a constant cross-section and has a head and socket connection with the lower part 30.
