Abstract

1,068,413. Cleaning footwear. KNOMARK Inc. June 24, 1964 [June 27, 1963], No. 26198/64. Heading A4F. A shoe polishing kit comprises a dauber 9, a polishing cloth (not shown), and polish paste container 1 of elliptical or other non circular or cylindrical form having a cover 4 adapted to telescope therewith and sealingly fit thereon. The cover 4 fits fluid tightly around a head 3 on the container 1. The dauber 9 is of sponge material and is secured to a hand hold 11 forming a container for the polishing cloth. In the embodiment illustrated the dauber 9 and the container 1 are of elliptical cross-section, the major elliptical axis of the dauber 9 being equal to or slightly greater than that of the container 1 and the minor axis being smaller. Thus when the dauber 9 is rotated in contact with the polish paste the inner side surface of the container 1 is maintained clean and the paste will not rotate with the dauber.
