Abstract

1,067,549. Dispensing beverages. ROCKOLA MANUFACTURING CORPORATION. Nov. 12, 1964 [Dec. 6, 1963], No. 46209/64. Heading A4T. [Also in Division B1] In a beverage vending machine dry ingredient from one or more auger outlets 46 is passed into an upper receptacle 51 receiving hot water from a tangential spout 67 whereby the ingredients are swilled through an outlet 53, provided with ribs 55 and a control gate 91 having dependent fingers 93, into a lower receptacle forming a mixing chamber 86 and a steam trap 90, the dispensing opening 85 from the lower receptacle being of smaller bore than outlet 53. To prevent steam and particles contaminating the powder containers 19 and outlets 46, a fan entrains air through outlet 53 and side opening 77. The apparatus may be coin freed.
