In an offset connecting- rod in which the big end bearing 2 and the small end bearing 3 each have first and second edges respectively on opposite sides of the bearing with the second edge of the big end bearing being offset furthest away from the small end bearing, the connecting-rod shaft 1 extends from a point B adjacent the first edge of the small end bearing to a point C adjacent the second edge of the big end bearing.
