A marine propeller blade comprises a movable main element 10 and a fixed auxiliary element 12 presenting to one another complementary confronting surfaces 24, 26, whereby in one position of the main element 10 (Fig. 1, not shown) the latter forms a continuation of the auxiliary element 12, the main element having a sharp leading edge 22 and the auxiliary element having a blunt trailing edge 14 to provide a composite blade having a sharp loading edge 22 and a blunt trailing edge 14.
