In an arrangement for synchronizing pulse generators at remote television camera sites with a master synchronizing pulse generator at a central station, the pulse generator at a first remote site is synchronized with the master synchronizing pulse generator at the central station and provides signals for synchronizing the pulse generators at the further remote sites. The television signal at remote site 38 is applied via line 55 to a sync. separator 45 which supplies a synchronizing signal via lines 57, 58, 59 and 62 to one input of a phase error detector 35 at the central station. The master pulse generator supplies a second input to the detector which provides an error signal on line 63 to synchronize the pulse generator at site 38. The synchronizing signal output from separator 45 is also applied as one input to an error detector 41 at a second remote site which includes a source of television signals 39. The output from source 39 is applied to a sync separator 43 which supplies synchronizing pulses on line 65 to a second input to detector 41. The detector supplies an output error signal on line 67 to synchronize the signals from source 39. A similar arrangement is shown for synchronizing a source 40 at a further remote site. Where a television signal is required from source 38 switches 50 and 52 are thrown to the right, the video output from sync separator 45 is then recombined with the sync signal in adder 47, similarly separated and recombined in separator 46 and adder 61 and applied to separator 36 at the central station. The video output of the separator is then applied via a station selector switch 33 to an adder 37 where it is combined with sync signals from the master synchronizing pulse generator 34 before transmission. Television signals from sources 39 and 40 are obtained by suitably positioning switches 50 and 52.
