106,464. Knorr-Bremse Akt.-Ges. May 19, 1916, [Convention date]. Fluid-pressure.-The casing of a triple valve contains a small expansion chamber 2, the volume of which is equal to or slightly greater than the volume of air displaced by the piston c in moving from the release position to the braking position. The chamber 2 normally communicates with the atmosphere by passages 3, 4. When the piston c moves to the braking position, the slide-valve d closes the outlet to the atmosphere and establishes communication between the chamber 2 and a passage 5 leading to the piston chamber I.
