Positioned in the forward end of a bowl type scraper is an endless scraper type, rigid frame conveyer, the upward and rearward inclination of which can be adjusted by jack means moving the pivot mount or mounts of a link or links pivotally connected at the upper end or ends to the top of the conveyer pivotally associated at the bottom with the bowl, the pivot mount or mounts being movable in a guide way or ways on the side wall or walls of the bowl. Preferably the lower end of the convoyer is supported by one or more swing arms from the front of the bowl.
