Abstract

An enamelled cooking, roasting or frying vessel or sheet steel has a coating of a silicone film on the inside surface, especially of the bottom. The coating may be applied by spreading, pouring, spraying or sprinkling a silicone oil emulsion or by dipping the vessel therein, followed by heating to vaporise the volatile constituents of the emulsion and bond the film to the enamel. The vessel may also be heated before application of the emulsion.
