Abstract

1,061,508. Sawing. G. GRASSMANN. Jan. 31, 1966, No. 4172/66. Addition to 1,030,647. Heading B5L. A saw blade comprises teeth widened by a displacement of the material and the forming of notches in the cutting edges of those teeth, the notch or notches in any one tooth being staggered in relation to the notch or notches in an adjacent tooth. The teeth 1 ... 6 of the saw blade, which may be a hotsaw blade, are expanded laterally by blows of a wedge which form the notches. The notches 7 in teeth 1 and 4 lie in the centre plane 12 of the blade while teeth 2 and 3 each have a pair of notches 8, 9, notches 8 being nearer the plane surfaces 13 of the blade and of less depth than notches 9 which are of less depth than notch 7. The notches 10 and 11 in the teeth 5 and 6 are offset on opposite sides of the centre plane 12.
