Abstract

Uniform key-pressure in a multi-row keyboard of a typewriter teleprinter or the like is obtained by providing a projection (13, 14, 15, 16) (the Figure, not shown) corresponding in depth to the lengths of the key levers so that the resultant pressure on springs 8 is the same whichever row of keys is operated. The springs may be single, laminated, or formed as a comb, and the mounting 7 may be adjusted to vary the overall pressure of the springs on the keys.
