Abstract

1,058,737. Animal feeding devices. J. SUTTER. Oct. 16, 1964 [Oct. 22, 1963], No. 42236/64. Heading A1M. An animal feeding device comprises a trough 3 mounted on end supports 1, 2 between which extend adjustable bars 4, 5 positioned so that young animals e.g. lambs have access to the trough but larger, adult animals are prevented from reaching it. A wooden panel 6 prevents access to the trough through the end supports and a roof may be provided. In a modification the end supports are of inverted U shape and a fodder rack from which the larger animals may feed is located above the trough. In a further embodiment the inverted U shaped end supports are fitted with bars spaced so that the larger animals can reach between them to reach fodder carried on a plank spaced from the trough.
