Sila-piperazines of formula <FORM:1058711/C3/1> wherein X is -CH2- or -Si(CH3)2- and Y and Z are each H or an aliphatic hydrocarbon radical, and hydrobromides thereof are prepared by reacting BrCH2Si(CH3)2Cl with NH3, a primary aliphatic amine, an aliphatic N,N1-disubstituted derivative of ethylene diamine, or ethylene diamine.
