Abstract

A holder for a solid, erodible disinfectant, deodorant or cleanser for immersion in liquid, e.g. in a lavatory cistern, comprises an essentially cylindrical body having closures at both ends and at least one aperture in the wall at a short distance fro meach end. The hole(s) at one end is/are offset angularly about the longitudinal axis relative to the hole(s) at the other end and the holder is constructed so that the charged holder floats in an upright position in liquid and is filled with liquid up to the level of the hole(s) near the upper end.
