Abstract

1,057,702. Transistor bi-stable circuits. ZAVODY PRUMYSLOVE AUTOMATISACE, NARODNI PODNIK. Jan. 22, 1964 [Jan. 25, 1963], No. 2871/64. Heading H3T. A cross-coupled transistor bi-stable circuit comprises a square loop core for remembering the state of the circuit when the supply is interrupted and a further transistor arranged to ensure that the circuit switches to the remembered state when the supply is restored. When the supply to the bi-stable circuit 1, 2 is interrupted a core 11 remains set in accordance with the state of the circuit. Upon restoring the supply a current pulse passes through a capacitor 15 to the base of transistor 1 to switch it on. If this was not the previous state the transistor current switches over core 11 inducing a voltage pulse in winding 14 to cut off transistor 19. At the end of the pulse transistor 19 conducts and the drop of voltage at its collector is communicated through capacitor 22 to the base of transistor 1 to reverse the circuit. A capacitor 21 in series with transistor 19 charges and blocks the transistor current during normal operation.
