1,057,154. Transmutation of elements. EUROPEAN ATOM ENERGY COMMUNITY (EURATOM). June 16, 1964 [June 19, 1963], No. 24972/64. Heading G6P. In the production of the phosphorus isotope <33>P the reaction <33>S(n,p)<33>P is employed and the irradiating neutrons are obtained from accelerated protons by the reaction <7>Li(p,n)<7>Be. For proton energies of 2À7 MeV the neutrons are of 1 MeV. The product <33>P is mainly free from <32>P and natural sulphur is employed as the target.
