Abstract

1,056,896. Boring earth &c. OCEAN DRILLING & EXPLORATION CO. Oct. 28, 1964 No. 43988/64. Heading E1F. A marine conductor pipe 22 having a crosspiece 21 is slidably supported by a platform 15 above the surface of the water and carried by a tubular structure 10 driven into the land bed below the water. The slenderness ratio (1/k) of the structure is 1/3 to 1/6 that of the pipe. The wellhead equipment and blow-out preventers may be mounted on the top of the pipe.
