Abstract

1,055,699. Fuzes for powered missiles. BOFORS A.B. Nov. 20, 1964 [Nov. 21, 1963], No. 47418/64. Heading F3A. [Also in Division H3] A missile system comprises a powered missile having a motor actuated by an igniter 7 (Fig. 1) and a gyroscope started by an igniter 6, operated from an activatable battery 1, the latter being energized from a remote source 4, and time - delay means 8 actuating a relay 9 to ensure that the gyroscope has reached its maximum speed of rotation before the motor is started. The time-delay means comprises a transistor circuit (see Division H3) and is arranged to prevent operation of relay 9 if the battery voltage is too low for correct operation of various devices in the missile.
