Abstract
1,054,889. Supports for tubular lamps. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. June 24, 1965 [June 27, 19641, No. 26810/65. Heading F4R. A fitting for a tubular lamp or lamps, e.g. a low pressure mercury vapour discharge tube, comprises a trough 2 with pivoted end plates 3 on which lampholders 4 are mounted by means of pins 5 movable in slots 6 in the plates 3 so that they can be moved from the operative position to a position in which they can pass through the mouth of the trough to a stowed away position. The trough is closed by a lid 7 carrying at each end a leaf-spring 10 which presses the holders 6 into operative position, the ends of the springs then engaging under lugs 12 on the end plates.
