Abstract
1,054,741. Belts. HAWKSLEY & SONS Ltd. May 3, 1965 [Feb. 3, 1964], No. 4508/64. Heading A3V. [Also in Division A5] One end of a belt formed of woven nylon material is passed through a rigid loop 2 on the other end and the belt is fastened by interengagement of strips 4 and 5 of filamentary hooks and eyes. A further loop 3 is preferably provided on the first belt end. In use, to prevent pain during coughing, the fastening strips are engaged, with the belt an easy fit around the chest, until the need to cough arises when the strips are separated by pulling the loop 3 outwardly, the belt is tightened by pulling on loops 2 and 3 and the strips 4 and 5 are re-engaged.
