Abstract

1,053,489. Switch contacts. ALLENBRADLEY CO. Dec. 16, 1964 [Dec. 26, 1963], No. 51172/64. Heading H2B. An easily removable contact assembly module comprising a housing 1, stationary contact terminal strips 6 and a reciprocable carrier 14 for a bridging contact 20 is mounted in a switch by means of terminal screws (not shown), passing through holes 10, a normally-open or normally-closed action being provided according to which way up the module is mounted. Operating stems 15 and 16 enable modules to be stacked for conjoint operation (Figs. 7, 8 and 9, not shown) and the alternative mounting surfaces are arranged to be equidistant from the plane perpendicular to and passing through the midpoint of the line of travel of the ends of the stems 15 and 16. In a modification (Figs. 7, 8, 9, not shown) the contact terminal strips are secured to the housing by hollow rivets through which the supporting terminal screws pass.
