In a stack of open-topped bins of at least two different sizes, each bin has a viewing window 22 closed by a removable transparent panel 31, Fig. 10 (not shown), an inclined wall 15, Fig. 4, extending from the bottom 14 of the bin to the window, the bins being of such a size that two bins of equal size fit one on top of the other and two bins of a smaller size placed side-by-side fit on top of the next largest bin, the stack having substantially smooth outer surfaces, Fig. 9 (not shown). Projecting lips 25, Fig. 4, on the lower edges of the bin walls, together with the bottom 14 of the bin, engage within beaded lips 20 around the open top of the bin below, to hold the stack together. Front and rear hand grips 23, Fig. 3 (not shown), and 17, Fig. 4, are provided on the larger bins. The transparent panel 31, Fig. 10 (not shown), is of T-shape, and is slidden into a groove 30 in the front wall, its stem 32 retaining a label in position. A hook 16, Fig. 4, on the rear wall 11, allows the bin to be hung on a rack. The bins are made from plastics, which may be reinforced with glass fibre, or of metal. Markings may be made on the outer sides of the bin walls, and ledges provided on the walls to support information cards. The bins may be coloured, for use with a colourcode scheme.
