Abstract

1,051,181. Shop fittings. A. G. WILD & CO. Ltd. Aug. 21, 1964 [May 24, 1963], No. 20833/63. Heading A4T. [Also in Division B8] Storage apparatus comprises arow of rack units 10 each having a plurality of compartments 13 and being movable laterally of the row to provide access to an open end or ends of the compartments. The row of rack units 10 are spaced from a similar row 11 by a gangway into which the units are movable on rails 12, the units having wheeled bases. Each compartment has a shelf on which articles or a pallet carrying articles may be stored; as shown in Fig. 1 two pallets 14, 14<SP>1</SP> are accommodated in each compartment. The rack units are moved by mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or manual means and control may be at each unit or at a remote control panel. Each rack unit is made in two sections 20, 21, Fig. 3, interconnected by plates 22, each section comprising an open angle-iron framework having shelves 31 which are adjustably mounted.
