1,050,643. Asbestos fibre composition. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Dec. 29, 1964 [Jan. 15, 1964], No. 1840/64. Addition to 1,048,684. Heading C3N. [Also in Division E1] A moulded room as disclosed in the parent Specification 1,048,684 is coated with a fireproofing layer, between “-inch and 3 inches thick, of powdered or fibrous asbestos bonded together and to the outer surface of the room with a binding medium. The layer contains at least 55% by weight of asbestos, with a preferred ratio of 60: 40, and the binding medium may be Portland cement or sodium silicate. The asbestos and cement portions may be sprayed through separate nozzles on to the surface at the same time as water is sprayed on through a third nozzle and then consolidated by hand, or the composition may be applied as in plastering, and the layer may be reinforced with chicken wire or hessian.
