Abstract

1,048,684. Baths, wash-basins. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Oct. 4, 1963 [Dec. 17, 1962; July 8, 1963], Nos. 47458/62 and 26896/63. Heading A4N. [Also in Division E1] A bath-room is formed from two moulded sections of a rigid synthetic thermoplastic polymeric material, (the lower of which is shown). A pressure, or vacuum assisted moulding process is employed, and the material may be a polymer or co-polymer of vinyl chloride, or an acrylic or methacrylic ester. The moulded section shown includes a bath 7, washbasin supports 10 and 11, a soap dish 8, and a toilet 9. A sink fitting 12, and a towel rail 15 are added, and the recess 14 is cut out to form a door opening. The plumbing fittings may pass through moulded holes 17. The sections may have corrugations in them to make them more rigid, and may be coated with one or more layers of a glass reinforced polyester resin, or polyurethane foam. Alternatively, a polyacylic ester sheet in the shape of a bath may be inserted in a recess formed in the moulded section, to give better wear.
