Abstract

1,050,216. Mixing machines; stirrers. NAUTAMIX N.V. July 16, 1965 [July 16, 1964], No. 30429/65. Heading B1C. A mixer has a stirrer comprising a shaft 2 and two spirally arranged strips 3, 4, the strip 3 (nearer the shaft) moving upwardly a greater quantity of mixture than the shaft 4 (further from the shaft) moves downwardly. The shaft is rotated about its own longitudinal axis and also describes a conical surface around the vertical axis of the mixer vessel 1. The outer periphery of the strips 3,4 lies on a conical surface widening upwardly or downwardly. The shaft may be rotated in either direction.
