Abstract
1,050,175. Electric selective signalling. SIEMENS-SCHUCKERTWERKE A.G. July 3, 1964 [July 3, 1963], No. 27649/64. Heading G4H. A metering arrangement includes a metering device controlling an indicating device having indicating numerals 2, Fig. 1 (not shown), showing the quantity metered by the device and magnetic areas 3, 4 associated with each numeral providing a corresponding coded representation. The marks are placed alternately above and below the numeral and are sensed by Hall generator type sensing heads band 7 on a carriage 8 adapted to be moved across the numeral wheels. The heads are energized alternately, by a trigger circuit which is switched by the end of a signal pulse in one head to energize the other head. Reading is initiated by a command signal and the signals, in serial form, pass to a punch or printer.
