Abstract
1,049,570. Firing thyristors. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Dec. 30, 1963 [Dec. 31, 1962], No. 51169/63. Heading H3T. [Also in Division H2] In Fig. 1, thyristors 52, 54, 56, 58 are fired through transformers 60, 63 from pulse generators, each comprising a transistor and a unijunction. When a signal from the signal source 95 turns on the transistor 80 or 100, the capacitor 88 or 108 begins to charge and the unijunction transistor conducts through the primary of transformer 60 or 63 after the capacitor has been charged to the trigger voltage of the unijunction transistor.
