Abstract

An electrical conductor coated with a film of epoxy, polyester, acrylic, polyvinyl formal or ureaformaldehyde resin is cured in a non-oxidizing atmosphere. The latter may be vacuum, N or CO2. Curing may take place for a time sufficient to remove substantially all the volatile material from the film insulation at a temperature not greater than 350 DEG C. or below the decomposition temperature of the resin.
