Abstract
Insulating tape, of the type which is impregnated with a curable synthetic resin after application to an article, is impregnated with a resin hardener accelerator dissolved in a volatile solvent and the solvent evaporated before or after application and before impregnation with the resin. The tape may be of paper, glass or polyester. It may contain or be covered with mica. It may be evacuated before impregnation with the accelerator. The accelerator may be an aliphatic or aromatic amine and the solvent may be toluene or acetone.
