Abstract

1,049,236. Electric lighting fittings. E. LENZE, [trading as TRILUX-LENZE KOMM. GES.]. Sept. 9, 1964 [Oct. 17, 1963], No. 36895/64. Heading F4R. A lighting fitting comprises at least one tubular lamp especially a fluorescent discharge tube and a cover of transparent synthetic resin provided with rows of prisms extending parallel to the axis of the lamp and crossed by transverse rows of prisms or grooves spaced apart so that the bases of the resulting prisms or depressions have a side ratio of 1 : 2 to 1 : 4. The faces extending parallel to the lamp axis may be of less steep slope than those extending transversely. The prisms may be roof-shaped or pyramidal. In a modification the slope of the faces parallel to the lamp axis may be flatter on one side than the other and the width of the successive rows. may increase across the cover as shown in Fig. 6.
